Sustain Our Library
All donations contribute to Chestnut Hill’s most vibrant and essential community center. The Chestnut Hill Library is an asset to patrons across Philadelphia and serves neighboring communities through after school services, school partnerships and unique programs.
In 2021, The Friends of the Chestnut Hill Library opened Hilltop Books! An extension of the branch as a community hub, Hilltop is a volunteer-run used bookstore where volunteers and supporters mingle and share their love of books, reading and lifelong learning. Your donation helps ensure that we are able to sustain our programs and support accessible, community-based library services.
In the last year, Friends donations have supported virtual author visits for public school children, keeping students love of reading alive even while branch doors were closed. Additionally, donations from the Friends of the Chestnut Hill Library regularly supplement the collections budget to keep relevant, new books on our library shelves.
